Hycroft Mining Corporation is a US-based gold and silver mining company, which operates its wholly owned Hycroft open pit, gold and silver mine located an hour south west of Winnemucca, Nevada.
The Mine Maintenance Planner is responsible to plan, produce and monitor compliance of Preventative Maintenance programs and schedules for all mobile equipment to achieve improved performance, quality and productivity of mine equipment. Responsible for scoping, planning and scheduling mobile maintenance work orders and ensure all necessary parts are available for maintenance jobs. Build a strong collaborative partnership with maintenance contractor in order to minimize downtime of equipment.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities include:
Maximize maintenance efficiencies to ensure a maximum cost benefit within mine budget while lessening interruptions to production using planned, predicative and maintenance methods and systems.
In coordination with the maintenance contractor, develop a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually work schedule designed to deliver maximum uptime.
Ensure proper work execution and follow up is incorporated into the planned maintenance schedule.
Liaise with Supply Chain to expediate external parts and contractor labor supplies, where necessary.
Assist with failure analysis and develop methods or procedures to mitigate.
Reviews completed work orders to ensure relevant job information is captured in the equipment/component repair history file.
Report on standard maintenance measures that are directly related to the equipment fleet namely; availability, mean repair duration, mean time between maintenance, component usage and cost (actual versus budget) on a monthly basis.
Coordinate appropriate resource planning and scheduling including required labor, subcontractors, materials and tools to support maintenance and project activities.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience mobile maintenance planning experience in a mining industry.
Able to work unsupervised. Able to understand and follow work standards and procedures and identify improvement to these standards when appropriate.
Demonstrated ability to analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems required.
Advanced computer skills are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software and CMMS (Computer Management Maintenance System), experience in Ellipse a plus.
Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Requires being careful about detail and being thorough in completing work tasks required.
